(00:01) hi everybody in this video I will explain you how to read the drive data like parameters from Optics directly this is called direct drive connectivity and this is made thanks to a library developed by Pro automation so here we have the on uh real time the value involved the igbt temperature Power Electronics dri temperature and also the output frequency we will start later on the drive um we just point to the drive IP address we don’t need the PLC here and just you select the model you’re going to use and um how to do this first of all
(00:59) uh this is for version 1.4 of factory talk Optics and then when you download your factory do Optics 1.4 you can also download the direct drive connectivity feature okay once you download this you get a file on uh your hard disk on see R Automation and and with this files you have to install the necessary packages with the path you will specify in in your hard disk and that’s all then you can go to your factory talk Optics Studio and use the
(02:04) library just look for drive and it’s this one direct drive connectivity you drag and drop to net logic and you have all these types and when you execute this script then you can have an new object here with the text representing all the parameters you can have from the drive updated real time every 10 seconds for instance and this is uh what we are going to show you is if you start drive you will see the output frequen quency here you will hear some noise probably so let’s start the drive and here you have the
(03:18) frequency and even this us has stopped let me stop the drive because this is noisy that is decelerate okay yes we have zero Hertz and uh cooling will stop after some seconds so this is how you can access your variables if you want to access the BC B you just change the dynamic link and select this one okay and this is interesting for monitoring proposes for iot and Industry 4.
